Follow the prescription

The pharmacy name is part of the answer

A telehealth website and the pharmacy behind it may be different businesses. The pharmacy that prepares and ships the medicine is the one to verify.

Understand compounding

A three-part Nevada check

  1. Get the exact pharmacy name

Ask which pharmacy will make or dispense the medicine and which state it is in.

  2. Search the Nevada record

As of September 2026, a pharmacy outside Nevada needs a Nevada pharmacy license before sending prescriptions to people in the state.

  3. Match the label

When a package arrives, compare its pharmacy name with the record already checked.

Internet pharmacies have another Nevada rule

As of September 2026, a pharmacy outside Nevada that fills prescriptions over the internet also needs a Nevada internet-pharmacy certification from the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.

Nevada law says the board must post a list of the internet pharmacies it has certified, so ask the pharmacy whether it is on that list.

A license proves that a license exists; it does not prove that every prescription or shipment is appropriate.

Stop when the trail breaks

  1. No pharmacy name

There is no record to check.

  2. A different name on the package

Ask for an explanation before treating it as the same source.

  3. No Nevada record

FDA’s advice to consumers: skip any online pharmacy you cannot find on the state board’s list.
